Help Needed! Those who are in need can approach any church for immediate assistance. Read in the newspaper of a church that is even willing to pay off one's gambling debts to help out. Surely those who are in need of food and shelter will not be turned away.

God has prompted me also to warn those rich Christian landlords and businesspeople not to oppress the poor causing them to be desperate. They must remember at all times that they are stewards for God and God definitely remembers the poor and needy.

    1. The Christian landlords are not to increase rental of their commercial properties recklessly, if they know fully well that the poor who are leasing their premises may find it harder to make a livelihood, just to take advantage of market conditions to increase their profits.

    2. The Christian businesspeople are not to recklessly hire and hire just for profits' sake.

    3. The Christian businespeople must not make hasty decisions on company policies without regard to the livelihood of their poorer employees claiming that their responsibility is to shareholders.

    4. The Christian businesspeople must not think that their poor employees are beholden to them for giving them jobs while exploiting them by paying extremely low wages. They must not be slave-drivers also just for the sake of increasing their own net worth.

Salvation and accepting Christ (True Love)

Prayer Appeal I am christian but my fiance is Muslim... we have been engaged for almost a year. I believe very much in Christianity as the true faith and do not wish to convert. I have been praying that he will soon accept Christ or at least agree to a civil wedding so that there is more time for him to slowing accept Christ and our children can be taught both and see for themselves the truth. He agrees the many things in the Bible is true but he would never convert as his parents would feel they have failed in teaching him Islam. Hence he claims his faith is strong. He isn't very religious and there many things about Islam that he does not know. He also has many misconceptions about Christianity. Please pray for me that he will soon see that Christianity is true and Islam is only a religion based on Muhammad's knowledge of Judaism and Christianity.

Help Needed! Hi My name is Andrew, Im a Pastor from Australia, I have a Church, Company and a wonderful family, I am very Happy in God! But why would God call me 7 years ago to your country. I'm at a loss WHY the Lord wants me to go, and I know that I have to be obedient to His promptings, but why me? when In Singapore you have some of the best churches & Ministrys in the world and I cant understand why the Lord would want me? Hence the question? "What do you think Singapore needs"? There is only one thing the Lord has shown me, and that is?
"teach them to lay besides still waters".
Teach them to rest in Him.

I am open to your thoughts on this, and I hope that you can hear and undertand my heart, I only want to do whats right for Him. If you reply to this, I thank you as I want to know the heart beat of Singapore.

    To God Be the Glory.

    The lust of the flesh

Expressions The recent concern about Aids and homosexuals show how many people have been entraped by the lust of their flesh. Many people have said that homosexuality are born with. No choice, we have to live with it, they are born in such a way. Does God really bring us into this world to be a lesbian or a gay? Does God pass judgement on us even when we are in our mother's womb? Well! Many seek to justify their sins and actions, have give excuses after excuses. We too, should not be quick to pass judgement on others, if a person is born lame or without a leg, does it mean that God has made he or she so? Or do we think that God is punishing the parents for their sins? Let us not be quick to judge. Rather, let us be a comfort, be an agape love and an instrument God can use for this troubled world.

    God bless!

    Own ambition

Expressions In whatever things we do, we need to know which are our own ambitions and which are God's desires for us.

Many have proclaimed, 'Ah! I am doing these things for God.' 'I am serving God in these capacities.' Some even reach to the extent of boosting what they are doing in church, in their career and for God. Sadly, these things which they are doing, are usually what they want to do for others, not what God wants them to do.

'Unless a grain of wheat falls and dies onto the ground, it remains alone.'

    1. First, find out what God wants us to do. If there is an area in our lives that we need to repent or amend, do not delay.

    2. Knowing the direction of God, we should yield to the Spirit's leading.

    3. Constantly remain in God's presence (we can be doing something yet being in God's presence).

    4. God reveals a little at a time. A complete understanding will come to us when there is obedience to what was given or expected of us.

    God bless you!

    Trusting God for our future
    Saturday, 16 April 2005 @ 04:23 PM SGT

Expressions It is amazing how many Christians choose to rely on their own abilities to impress the world. Many have trusted and believed that the present world is their source of income and a hope for their future. Due to a lack of trust in God and unbelief, many failed to walk with God in their lives. Thus, their future seems unclear and uncertain, wavering in both God's promises and the things of the world.

Trusting God for our lives and future mean that we don't craft out our own plans and decide whatever things we think is best for us. The trusting believer will always wait for God to lead him or her, pray for their own direction and ask God to move on behalf of them. They relent on trying to do things in their own strength and searches for God's Will in every circumstances.

    1. Make a choice to trust God for our future and not to rely on the 'promises' of the world.

    2. Walk with God rather than walking or keeping in step with the world.

    Jesus loves you!

Expressions In this period of time, many believers have gone after methods, intellectual knowledge and the things belonging to the world. These things first take roots in their lives and later on have an influence in their environment.

In this last days, people will refuse to listen to the truth, but will heap up 'teachers' to hear what they want to hear. God's truth, they don't want it inside their lives because it's affecting their daily sinful and wayward lifestyle. God's Word is blocking them from fulfilling their selfish or prideful ambitions. God's Word becomes a burden to them rather than a delight.

1.If we don't put away our own desires, we will always not be able to serve or fulfill God's desires for us.

    2. Sincerely repent of whatever thoughts and desires the Spirit of God may convict and what we know thru the Word.

    3. Focus on God and His promises daily.

    God Bless!
