Expressions 'Do you not know that friendship with the world is emity with God?' James 4 : 4

Repentance is needed not just on the part of an unbeliever but also on ours. The world is living in sin and it is luring people in, including God's children who professes faith. Alas! This is a time of struggle. Lovers of God or lovers of pleasures, we have to choose one.

He who loves God, let him depart from sin.

    Jesus loves you.

Do we really love JESUS ...

    Message Board Hi guys..

Time flies ….sometimes when we reflect on what we have done yearly – we wonder what have we really done. Few years ago , I asked the LORD a question. For I do not really want to stand before Him and regretted over something which I could have done today.

When I asked that question for some time…thoughts flashed before me. When we leave this earthly life, what can we really bring together with us…. We know it’s not our money, not our education certificates and not even our material possessions. Suddenly I thought about my family, my friends and many others.

It really hit hard on me…I know HE reminds me that there people going to the other side (Hell). Do I really bother about my family, my friends and others ? Can we say we truly love them ? How have we love them ? Do we really bother to tell them about JESUS ? I know HE wants me to do something about it before it is too late.

What about you guys ? I not making a judgment here. Maybe many of you are already actively involved in Church Minitries and Outreach activities already.

Honestly, nobody tells me to do something about it. I did involved in outreach during my campus days. But then …I would say I have not spend my time wisely for the following years. TEN years … no kidding. I didn’t really reach out to anyone for TEN years.

I think we got to be honest – Let’s ask ourselves when was last time we tell others about JESUS or invited someone to Church.

My recent years ( after that ten years ), I started giving out tracts to people. Also, I find we should make full use of opportunities to witness to our friends. Example, sending Occasion cards to our friends ( New Year, Christmas and Birthdays Cards) and enclosed a tract in it. I think most important in loving people is to direct them to JESUS. I know that we can do a lot of good things for our friends and show our concern for them. But what’s the use if they are not joining us in Heaven.

You can easily print out a tract from the internet or write your own. I purchased it from Singapore Every Home Crusade Co. Ltd. (Contact : 67447355 / 64441547 )

Hereby, I want encourage you to read the Bible passage Matt.25:14-30. You will realised that the third guy mentioned in scripture was sentenced to hell by the LORD. Do you know why ? The guy was thinking that JESUS is a person who is difficult to please and do not even bother to use his talent wisely as given by the LORD.

In the passage, the LORD has already told us that HE is coming back again. HE is going to rule the new Heaven and Earth as one LORD and King. Everyone on earth is at least given a talent by HIM. Have you asked yourself what talent you have ? No one can deny that the LORD has not given them time on this earth. Therefore make full of the time HE has given you.

“…He who win soul is wise !” Proverbs 11:30
“A wise son brings joy to his Father !” Proverbs 10:1

Our LORD bless my fellow brothers and sisters.

    The Presence of God
    Thursday, 02 December 2004 @ 01:34 PM SGT

Expressions God appeared first to Moses when he was near the bush. From then on, Moses had a intimate relationship with the Lord. The Presence of God never departed from Moses as God was always with Him as he led Isreal out of bondage.

    1. The Presence of God in our lives.
God wants to manifest in and thru us in a greater way, but our sins hinder Him to shine and flow thru us.

    2. BE yielded to God.
While temptations arise and sin multiplies, its a call to be yielded to God instead to the world.

    3. Shine for Jesus.
After Moses had a close conversation with God at the Mountain of Senai, he had a notable shine on his face. It was because of the Presence of God, while he was talking to God.

We can't try to bluff people. If we have a close relationship with God, our outward lives will show and shine. Love will abound in our hearts and joy and peace. Goodness and good thots will dwells in our hearts. However, if we try to 'copy' God, our fleshly behaviours will be revealed for all to see. The Christian tag has been worn too long, its time to place it upon our hearts.

    Coveteousness and Giving

Expressions 'There is one who gathers much but has little, and the one who gives freely yet has even more.' Proverbs

Covetousness of the heart for money, material things... is a lack of trust in God who provides everything for our need. We have relied on our human strength to make more money and to achieve success and we think that God is blessing us.

    1. God's blessing is beyond your best.
    2. God's blessing is according to His perfect will.
    3. God's intention of blessing us is to bless others thru us.
    4. God wants us to give, not just receive.

'The one who loves money has money not enough...' Proverbs

Let us not be covetous or greedy about things or even food. Let us be contented and start trusting God for everything that we need.

    Man-made foundations

Expressions The buildings, the substances, the foundations and its strength, there they stand. However, its architect is not God, but men have builded them for themselves. The building of one's career, the stagging of one's finances, they build. They have no foundation nor are they rooted in His Word, but they are growing. You may sometimes wonder. Why does God allow the wicked to be rich and live in their comfort? Be sure of this: Man's strength will one day fail them. Be sure that the man-made foundations will not stand...

    Doing God's work our strength

Expressions Have you been hearing people saying,
'Oh! I am going to do this for God.'
'I am going to start a ministry or church.'
'I am going to be a missionary.'
'I am going to evangelise the world for Christ.'
'I am going full time for God.'
    So on and so forth.....

The intentions of these people may be good, but most of them are not from God.

Doing or serving God by our strength is a serious matter to God. It may mean little to us, but it certainly mean a lot to God.

God is a God of all people, not only to the individuals only. If God can use a donkey, He can certainly use you.
Do not be carried away by indivduals whom you know of doing things by their own strength and makes a boosting of their own self and work.

Remember God looks at the heart, not at the gifts. God sees the attitude of the person, not what one does.

Prepare for God to move and may He uses you.

Some of us may think that intercession is not neccessary in Christian context or life anymore. This is due to the outspread of wrong doctrines and religious spirits.

Intercession is different from the normal prayer one practices.

    What is intercession?
    - An outcry of injustice to God
    - A cry for God to act
    - A yielding to see more of God
    - A prayer that believes God to manifest

Praying is usually meant to bless, while intercession is always meant for God to act. Intercession has more intensity than prayer because of the spiritual burden laid on the person's spirit.

Prayer is a request while intercession is reminder to God.

When we intercede, we not only cry out to God but we also scream at the devil.

'All authority and power has been given you on earth and in heaven.'

'Whatever you bind on earth, it will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth, it will be loose in heaven.'

Spiritual warfare is not about shouting and screaming, it is about intercession.

    Have a good time interceding!!!

Expressions I am particularly irked by the common well-meaning comment that whenever suffering happens, God has a lesson for us to learn as though God has a hand in it. (Please do not quote the suffering of Job as it may be one isolated case. Even in the case of Job, all well meaning comments from his friends were reprimanded by God.) Imagine a child-less woman in her 40s praying for a child and her joy when she is pregnant. During delivery, complication appears and the child is born dead or with severe deformity. We should not add to her confusion by saying that there is a lesson to be learnt. If the pregnancy seems to be an answered prayer, what does the death or deformity seem ?

I believe God is fully revealed in Christ Jesus. What is Christ Jesus' response towards suffering around Him ? He did everything He could to alleviate the pain and suffering. In Luke 13 when people died terribly, he said that it was definitely not due to wrong-doing but He warned about repentance. So if He is so concerned about the suffering around Him, will He have a hand in it in the first place ?

So instead of focusing on the cause and the thought of a lesson to be learnt, let's believe God will agonize with us; God will suffer with us; God will intervene in His divine timing if He so chooses; God is entitled to His sovereignty...
