Expressions Our Lord Jesus and the Apostles had exhorted us to be watchful, especially for the signs of the end of times.
2 millennium has passed without incident.

I am not trying to sound alarmist that doomsday is near but the signs of the world running more chaotic instead of running safer are there.

True Stories Please read the other story entitled "Baruch Ha Shem..." in the Help Needed! section to get the background for this article.

The purpose of this is to expose a dangerous criminal who poses as an evangelist and whose website has a link at Antioch. I urge anyone in this group who as any connection to Feroze Golwalla or Baruch Ha Shem to discontinue all contact and support.
Caution: There is some reference to unpleasant crimes in this news article.

There was a bell ringing. It caught the attention of the ppl in the room. Someone asked, "What should we do? The bell is so loud and according to the given instruction, we are suppose to leave the building."
Another replied, "Hey! Who cares! It looks stupid to leave anyway."
A few minutes later, the building began to collaspe. The ppl were terrified but It was too late. Many died.
When we chose to disobey Him, He too, will leave us when calamity falls. Let us be obedient and attentive to His Voice.
    God bless you!

    Bro. Ben

Pastoral need - Papua New Guinea
    Monday, 22 March 2004 @ 05:31 PM SGT

Help Needed! A need exists for a bi-lingual English AND Chinese speaking pastor to serve a multicultural, interdenominational, multinational church of around 400 in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (situated north of Australia).

Alternatively, one may consider serving in a new Chinese Church to be established as there is a great need for the Chinese community.

Ideally, the person should be a dynamic and experienced accredited pastor serving with mainstream denomination, around 40 plus, with good interpersonal and communication skills, with multicultural & multi-racial environment. A good command of English and Mandarin is essential.

A good theological degree and background is essential and preferably endowed by the good Lord with the spiritual gift of pastoring and teaching.

Persons with calling from the Lord for Papua New Guinea and a burden to serve in difficult situations are encouraged to apply.

Please contact me if you feel it may be God's calling for us. If not do pray with us. Thank you.

Expressions We are a spirit, possessing a soul, living inside a flesh. It will be unwise to think that we should always be spiritual. It will be foolish to indulge in things of the flesh, cause the flesh profits nothing. Pleasure comes and goes.

What then? How are we not to be over-spiritual and over fleshly?

Can we be emotional and not be over-emotional and lead by our feelings?

Can we be intelligent and yet not be too smart for God?

I am sure we can. We are made that way, the image of God. Just that sometimes we go off balance, either this way or the other and plunge into extremes.

    1. We have to build a strong spirit man inside us.
    2. Live with a pure conscious.
    3. Live a healthy lifestyle.

" He who is spiritual, should not be spiritual for himself but for the sake of benefiting others."

"Do not fight with one another, lest you be consumed by one another."

    Expressions Proverbs 30:8-9:

"Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me ONLY my daily bread.
Otherwise, I may have too much and DISOWN you and say "Who is the Lord?" or I may become poor and steal, and so DISHONOR the name of my God."

I heard a message from a prosperity theology church recently making 2 points :

    1. That being born again means to restore all things - including being restored back to pre-Fall days. The point made is actually to believe that being born again is to be restored in ALL things and to be restored to live in all the "riches" given then.

    2. Ridiculing the stupidity of poverty theology and citing an example in a multi-millionaire giving up everything to preach the Good News and ending up as a bankrupt, causing a lot of misery along the way.

From Prov 30:8-9 which is supposedly contributed by King Solomon (the wisest man with wisdom given by God), who is worse off - the one who DISOWN God or the one who DISHONOR the name of God ?

Obviously from these verses, both theologies are wrong but it is sad to hear one extreme critizing the other extreme. That reminds me of the parable of the PHARISEE and the TAX-GATHERER. Who is justified at the end of the day ? One is the most respected person in his society (Jesus said that they are lovers of money) and the other person is the most despised in the same society. Reminds me further of another parable in Lazarus the beggar in Abraham's bosom.

Ever since the Fall, the world is ursurped by the Devil and he is rightly called the prince of the world. Jesus will reclaim that in His second coming. It is audacious to state that being born again is to reclaim that lost territory now and all the "wealth" in the world - just like before the pre-Fall days. Correct me if I am wrong.

    The Passion Confusion

Expressions Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

The Passion of the Christ by Mel Gibson has raised so much publicity that many people had seen it (in US) or waiting to see it (in Singapore). However, before you go and watch this movie, you should do some thinking and perhaps read the Bible on this.

There are good reviews and bad reviews about the movie. I came upon this article "The Animated Crucifix" in the website

If you have time, you may read the article. It is up to you find out or not to, but please look at both sides of the coin.

I was actually looking forward to watching it but now I am not so sure I want to.

Personally, it never occured to me that we need not watch this movie just to "see" Jesus... for

"We walk by faith and not by sight." - 2 Corinthian 5:7

    The spirits in this world

Expressions It was a fine saturday morning, I was in my home, ready to start my morning devotion. Oh! The weather was good. Everything was good. Immdiately after I began to walk to the position of my bible, a thought began to hit me.

"What are you doing this for? You can have just enjoy yourself today, it's Saturday."

The thoughts that were placed into King David's mind so many thousand of years ago, came to me. Although it was not the same thought, but it was from the same voice and spirit.

" The world and its lust passes away, but he who does the will of the Father abides forever."

Let's put an end to the world inside us.

    God loves you!
