  • The sins in our Church

Expressions It is a fact that there are different sins in our church and in different churches there are different sins.

We need to deal with sins in our church and not pretend that they don't exist. We need to face the fact that our people do sin and that they need to get right with God again.

Many preachers hardly preach on the sins of the church, rather they are preaching on blessings and prosperity when the people are continously living in sin. Then, people do not repent and the condition of the church never get to change because the sins in the church are not dealt with and the preachers are not preaching against it.

We need to be radical and honest Christians to see changes in what we do. We must not avoid the truth and facts in order to please the people around us. If we do that, we and our church will never prosper spiritually.

Expressions 'Abide in Me, ye shall bear much fruits, if ye abide in Me.' John 15

My spirit is always grieve when I see people especially those who know the Lord to drift away from God's perfect Will for them. They either make decisions on their own and move ahead of God's timing and plan, or they refuse God's Will for them and choose their own.

Expressions I felt that many of us need to re-establish the basic principles of God in our lives. Repentance, worship, love for God and others are some examples of the basic principles of God, however, we are not able to do and keep them in our lives.

Expressions We surely have a lot to thank God for in this country.

We have freedom to worship Him without fear.
We have enough to eat and a place to sleep.
We have many Samaritan groups to turn to if need arises.
    We have compulsory basic education.
    We have excellent subsidized health-care.
We have no natural disasters like tsunami, hurricane or earthquake.
    We have security and peace.

But we are not really thankful… we crave for more…
We are not going to rest our laurels till we achieve more and more…
We complain when things don’t turn out to be what we want…
We end up with stress emotionally and physically…
We wreck our bodies and minds as a result…

    Let’s pray for simple living.
Let’s be still and know the Great I AM.

    Worship and Revival

    Expressions What is revival?

'O Lord, I have heard your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.' Habakkuk 3:2

To revive means to bring back to life. Why is it that there is a constant need for God to revive? Why doesn't His people always remain revived?

In the old testament, whenever the children of Isreal turn away from God, God would either use circumstances, situations or would raise up mighty men to lead the hearts of His people back to Him, so that they will worship Him only.

The Presence of evil in a believer's life

Expressions As I was worshipping in my church, someone passed by me swiftly. The Presence of God was in the church, but another spirit came into the service through the believer's life. The presence of that spirit in the believer's life was not able to abide with the Presence of God, instead, it was seperate from it.

    The Christian without the Spirit

Expressions It is truly a sad thing to know that there are many 'Christians' who do not possess the Holy Spirit in their lives. As they continue to live a secret or sinful lifestyle, the Presence of God departs from them. Although, they still go to Church or even serve in a ministry, they do not carry the Holy Spirit along with them, but a different spirit.

    The worldwide God

Expressions God not only lives within a believer's life and heart, but He is also the Sovereign God who reigns over the whole world. As powerful and great is He, He is also as small and meek within our daily lives. As loving and concerned about individual lives, He is also the author and Spiritual King over the whole universe. He is not only involved in individual's daily life but also the worldwide events. He is both BIG and SMALL. Truly, He is EVERYTHING.

Christians need to view God as a worldwide God. He is not only involving in your life, but He also wants your life to be able to involve in other's lives, your nation and even the whole world.

I have read about the Columbine Story in 1999. Rachel Joy Scott was a 17 yrs old high school girl who loves God and constanly pursue God in her life. Her passion and life had an impact over the entire nation of America and even the whole world. Those who read about her testimonies and journal, were touched by God's Spirit through her life. Certainly, Rachel knows a God of the whole universe.

The Revival which took place in 1904 through the life of a young 26 yrs old coal miner, ignited a revival over the whole of the nation of Wales and the revival spreaded across to many other nations, touching, reviving many hearts and leading many to repentance. Evan was only a young coal miner of our age, but He loved God and constanly pursued God in his life. Certainly, like Rachel, he know of a ALL SOVEREIGN and POWERFUL GOD, not a tiny God.

These two life examples have impacted the world. God took them from their little positions to something great. God took them from their own smallness to see what great things He can do through them when they allow Him to. Certainly, God is A WORLDWIDE GOD.
