To watch or not to watch ? Todate, the movie made 234 million. It kinda make me "squirmish" to think that Christians contributed a big chunk in this earnings due to the hype.
To watch for the purpose of evangelism ? But arent we all well informed to the content of the book ?
I dont know.. if you choose to watch, why ?

Just wondering why so many Christians, especially from the Charismatic movement are behaving in such a superstitious manner. They have their personal "Sai Kong" (Hokkien for "priest") whom they consult about their future. Of course they don't call it "fortune-telling". God forbid! They call this "personal prophecy". They have these people who claim to be "prophets", who go from church to church, preaching and giving "personal prophecies". I believe in the prophetic movement but if I am not wrong, the prophets of God are 100% accurate. They do not do guess-work and give vauge prophecies.
Dunno what happen recently - every Tom, Dick and Harry seems to become a prophet or apostle. Yet, we do not see actual accurate 100% "juung juung" (accurate) type of prophetic words. Aiyah, many of them are just guessing when they prophecize over people.
Something like, "I see the sun shinning over your life in the next few months". Wow. Fantastic prophecy. If I were to go to hot Arabia, I would have considered the prophecy to be accurate loh. Maybe if I stay in hot and wet S'pore... wah, also accurate loh. Maybe I have a new girlfriend with a round round face that looked like a sun... wah, lagi accurate.
You see... how the modern prophecies have their loopholes. General prophecies like the one I mentioned just make a mockery out of all of us. Very rarely, we ever have this 100% accurate type of prophecies. Even the Charlatans also have this kind of things to offer.
What to do lah. We have moved from our superstitious Taoistic background into a more superstitious one.
God help us now. With so many so-called prophets (many of them self-ordained one), we the ordinary Christians "boh see mah siong" (not die also badly injured). If our pastors are also superstitious then how can the ordinary members like us be any better.
God really got open our eyes to the Truth and make us less superstitious loh!

In response to Redeemed's posting- where it was mentioned that we'll adopt our bodies at our prime age (25-30yrs) to be our eternal body...
Just a food for thought qn:
what if i weigh 100 kg at my prime age? does it mean i'll be 100kg in heaven forever?
If yes: I don't think it'll be glorifying to God having a body of high fats and cholesterol.
If not: Then we'll look drastically different!
Also, do you think Moses looks like an old man or a young 25 yr old guy when you meet him in heaven?
hmmm....let's just leave it as the 'mysteries of God'....we'll find out in time to come....

2 Samuel 12:1 – 9
Then the Lord sent Nathan to David. And he came to him and said, “There were two men in one city, the one rich and the other poor. The rich man had a great many flocks and herds. But the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb which he bought and nourished; And it grew up together with him and his children. It would eat of his bread and drink of his cup and lie in his bosom, And was like a daughter to him. Now a traveler came to the rich man, And he was unwilling to take from his own flock or his own herd, to prepare for the wayfarer who had come to him; Rather he took the poor man’s ewe lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.” Then David’s anger burned greatly against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the Lord lives, surely the man who has done this deserves to die. And he must make restitution for the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing and had no compassion.” Nathan then said to David, “You are the man ! Thus says the Lord God of Israel, “It is I who anointed you king of Israel and it is I who delivered you from the hand of Saul. I also gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your care, and I gave you the house of Israel and Judah; and if that had been too little, I would have added to you many more things like these ! Why have you despised the word of the Lord by doing evil in His sight ?” You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword, have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the sons of Ammon.”
This passage mentioned that God had given David all that had been Saul’s, even his wives. Yet he was not satisfied and he coveted another man’s wife. He even committed murder in the process.
Let the leadership of Christian charitable organizations, para-Christian organizations and independent churches be warned also. As in the parable, although the rich man did not really covet the ewe of the poor man for his own, he did it for his own credit and glory. He had shown hospitality to the wayfarer although the wayfarer might not know of the means. And surely if word were to spread of the hospitality or even compassion, credit and honour would go to this rich man or the city.
Let’s look at the parable in the light of accountability of the independent churches and Christian charities today. Although they may be “successful” in reaching out in saving souls or running successful charities, I am sure that fame and honour are usually credited to the leadership of these churches and charities (sad to note that most often God is seen as the minor partner instead), let the leadership be warned as in the parable - the end does not justify the means. They must not exploit the piety or generosity of the poor masses to pay for most of the expenses and unwilling to make similar sacrifice but enriching themselves in the process despite having the best vocation any Christian can have in such wonderful ministries. They should know that God’s grace is not only sufficient but overflowing for them.
The consequence of David’s covetousness was disastrous but David was repentant. We prayed the excesses today in most of these organizations and independent churches do not go overboard till disaster strike hard.

Do you believe that angel can cohabit with humans and father offspring?
I don't believe that is possible. If it is possible, Satan who is the fallen angel will be able to father as many children as possible. He won't need to tempt you to win your soul. He would have enough for his purposes. Right.
What do you think?

Read the following article in the net that best summarize and explain the marketing strategies used by the non-denominational churches in this country also.
http://www.darrelldumas.com/selling%20Jesus.htm
The question asked in the conclusion is - Is there hope and a future for the Church ?
Because such strategies intend to welcome only the English educated and better-off strata of our society, my question is whether there is HOPE for the other majority end strata to hear the unperverted Gospel ? There is no point "inviting someone to the Wedding Banquet without telling him or her to dress appropriately and risk them being kicked out of it".

As with most Christians, I have been following the newspaper saga of Ms Ho Yeow Sun and the City Harvest Church. It remains extremely confusing over the various statements and rebuttal from the church. As such, with my limited knowledge from reading the Scripture and listening to preachers at the pulpit, I like to revisit the issue:

Dear Friends,
I believe all of us have experienced headache before and it is not a pleasant event at all. However, when a common headache is compared with an agonizing migraine. No one will prefer the latter. The migraine assault may be on only one side of the brain but it seems to be even more painful. The pain of a migraine is devastating and debilitating to the sufferer.
